Cocif: 80 years of history and innovation. Together.

for 80 years

Eighty years are not just a milestone. They are a threshold.
A door crossed by generations of workers, projects, ideas, challenges and changes. A door made of time, commitment and collective trust.

In this case also of wood, hardware, technical drawings, skilled hands and community.

Cocif was founded in 1945, in the heart of an Italy in need of reconstruction, as a cooperative of carpenters. Since then, it has gone through the decades interpreting work as a social value, production as material culture, and business as a form of active citizenship, committing itself to promoting the territory and its people.

It has transformed an ancient craft – making doors and windows – into a shared heritage, where each product carries with it the history of those who designed, built and improved it.

In a world where everything seems temporary, commemorating eighty years of industrial cooperation is an act of awareness and gratitude. It is a way of honouring not only what has been done, but how it has been done — together.

The art of customized contract solutions, with references worldwide

In eighty years, Cocif has built much more than a company: it has created a solid and international industrial reality, establishing itself as a benchmark in the wooden, aluminum, and PVC doors and windows sector.

What sets Cocif apart is its ability to combine the strength of industrial production with the flexibility of customization.

Tailor-made projects are not just a slogan – they are a mission.
Bespoke solutions, including non-standard or fully custom designs, crafted to specification with materials and finishes selected by architects, designers, and builders.
Every project can thus become unique, staying true to the creative vision of those who imagine it.

Today, Cocif is a strategic partner for the Contract sector across key areas:

  • Residential – Housing complexes and large-scale residential buildings, with functional, secure, and custom solutions.
  • Hospitality – Hotels and accommodation facilities, where doors and windows help create refined, comfortable environments.
  • Schools and Hospitals – Public buildings and community spaces that demand strength, reliability, and certified quality.

From residential buildings to international hotel brands, and from schools to hospitals, Cocif brings to the world not only innovation and Made in Italy products, but also eighty years of shared experience and craftsmanship.

OLTRE LA PORTA:
the photographic exhibition celebrating 80 years of Cocif

Oltre la porta. 80 anni Cocif tra memoria e innovazione

To honor this long history, Cocif presents “OLTRE LA PORTA (Beyond the Door). 80 Cocif between Memory and Innovation”, a photographic exhibition that will take place from September 12th to 28th, 2025.

This photographic exhibition celebrates eighty years of activity by reinterpreting Cocif through its industrial and social archive, and through its visual memory.

Historical photos interact with new images and project materials, unfolding a long and vibrant period of time, that is rich in faces, spaces, details and transformations. The door, a tangible symbol of Cocif’s work, becomes a narrative thread – both a physical and metaphorical threshold of passage, openness, encounter between past and future.

It is as a sign of gratitude towards this shared history that Cocif decided to commission the creation of a work of art that would reveal the cooperative’s deepest identity from photographer Mario Cresci.

Not just a reportage, but a conceptual and authorial work, in Cresci’s style, capable of intertwining memory, space and vision.

That choice reflects a change in perspective.
Compared to its pioneering years, with hard work but little attention to its own image, today the cooperative feels the need – and the duty – to also take care of how it presents itself.

Commissioning a work of art means valuing its own history and present, giving dignity to what often remains invisible: daily work, relationships, the culture of making.
